My oven is too hot. Not a lot too hot, but just enough so that I have to be careful if I'm baking delicate treats, like muffins or biscuits. Things that need to be in the oven long enough to bake through, but not so long that turning the oven down a little is a good answer.
My solution? I put things like trays of muffins or brownies on top of a double cookie sheet. That allows the treats to cook through and the tops to brown to perfection and not burn the bottoms. And now you know...
