Lately, I have been leaning into my salad game...For me, it is all about variety...here are some tips I've come across to help with dressings - To my surprise, it is simple and fun to make dressings on demand.

Dressing Components:

  • Fat
  • Acid
  • Seasons/Flavors

Tools to have handy:

  • Mason Jars/Squeeze Bottles - for saving/serving
  • Grater - for cheese, ginger, shallots, and other aromatics
  • Garlic Press - for garlic, onions, shallots etc.
  • Milk Frother - Blend with minimal clean up

Some staple ingredients that will set you up to make an array of dressings:

  • Olive Oil
  • Balsamic
  • Sesame Oil
  • Soy Sauce
  • Maple Syrup/Honey
  • Rice Vinegar
  • Lime Juice
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Chili Sauce
  • Mayonnaise
  • Dijon Mustard
  • Greek Yogurt
  • Garlic Powder
  • Dried Dill
  • Salt/Pepper
  • Turmeric
  • Ginger

Enjoy!

Brilliant! Thanks for sharing this framework. My mind is already starting to think up combos -- so much easier than following a recipe, and I can use whatever I have in my house.

I am GF and salad dressings are secret gluten hoarders. I've not used any pre-made dressings for awhile now and make my own. It's so easy! and so delicious. In a pinch I use California Olive Ranch EVOO (medium global blend) with some fresh squeezed lemon juice and salt & pepper!
